Getting Started
Your library is yours. We don’t sell it, share it, or use it to train anything. We don’t show it to anyone. We don’t profile you. We just hold it quietly until you need it.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored hashed). When you save a link, we store the URL, the title you give it, any tags, and the date saved. That’s the library.
We also collect standard server logs — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited — for the purpose of keeping the service running. We don’t use these for marketing or profiling.
We do not collect behavioral tracking data. We do not run advertising pixels. We do not use third-party analytics that profile you across the web.
What we don’t do
We never sell your data to anyone, for any reason. We never share your library with other users. There are no public profiles, no social feeds, no discovery features. Your saves are invisible to everyone except you.
We never use your saves to train machine learning models — ours or anyone else’s.
We never send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. Account emails (password reset, billing receipts) are the only emails you’ll receive by default.
How we store it
Your library is stored on servers located in [SERVER LOCATION — VERIFY]. Access is restricted to core infrastructure. We do not have a team of people browsing your saves. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your library is deleted within [RETENTION WINDOW — VERIFY] days. We do not keep backups of deleted accounts beyond that window.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to run Save to Fav:
- [Payment processor — e.g. Stripe] for billing. We never store full card details.
- [Email provider — e.g. Postmark / Mailgun] for transactional emails.
- [Hosting — e.g. WP Engine / Kinsta] for infrastructure.
Each of these has its own privacy policy. We choose providers that don’t monetize user data.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. That’s it. No tracking cookies. No advertising cookies. If you log out, the session cookie is cleared.
Your rights
You can export your library at any time from your account settings. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. If you’re in the EU, you have the rights granted under GDPR — access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object. To exercise any of these, email [CONTACT EMAIL — VERIFY].
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we’ll notify you by email before the change takes effect. Small clarifications may be updated without notice, but we’ll always update the “last updated” date above.
